Vanity is an interactive art piece which welcomes the viewer to sit in my place and reflect on their own experience with grief or loss. There are custom notepads which correspond with my se/lf installation piece on the vanity, along with a book of envelopes which correspond to the mother's days cards hanging around the perimeter of the room. Viewers are able to take a piece of paper from the notepad with them as they go, or write a message and leave it in the envelope book.
